I led a university-wide digital accessibility initiative to help ensure Santa Clara University School of Law's digital content met Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 AA) standards in preparation for new federal accessibility requirements.

The goal is to make all digital content accessible and inclusive, ensuring every member of the university community can participate fully, regardless of ability.

- Website and Emails

- Software & Web Apps
- Electronic Documents - PDFS, PowerPoint and Word
Role & responsibilities
As the Digital Operatons Manager, I owned 100% of the current published Website and support all stakeholders that produced digital content.
Key Points:
- Collab with Marketing and Tech team to cover 90% of the digital content being created on campuus.
- I was personally accountable for audits, remediation, documentation, and training others.
- Scope: A combination of solo effort and leading/contributing to a larger team
Tools & technologies
A combination of built-in tools, plug-ins and AI to fix accessbility issues.

- Video and Audio - built-in tools within the platforms such as YouTube.
- Electronic Documents: Microsoft Office Suite - built-in & Google Workspac - Grackle
- Testing/Audit tools: SCU Web Team build a tool within T4
Process & decisions
The way I approach a project is to use a technique called, "Divide & Conquer". I break a big problem such as "digital accessibility" in smaller stages/phases/tasks to solve the problem.
Challenges & solutions
The main obstacle I faced during the proeject was stakeholders confused on their role and responsibility in this project.
Results & impact
I was able to complete the project early before deadline of May 1st in April.
Key Points:
- Quantitative: audit score before/after, issues closed, compliance level achieved
- Qualitative: user feedback, team adoption of new patterns, praise/recognition
- Longer-term impact: New process, guidelines, or culture going forward.
